What is Historic Preservation?

Historic preservation is the practice of reusing and protecting existing buildings to drive economic development, support sustainability, and strengthen communities. It creates jobs and local investment, reduces environmental impact by reusing materials and energy, helps bridge financing gaps through tax credits, and allows communities to celebrate and revitalize their unique heritage.
